Divorcee Decides To Stop Petsitting Manipulative Ex Husband's Dog, He Tries To Gaslight Her Into Continuing

Breakups happen all the time, they're unfortunately just a natural part of life. When there are kids involved, things can get real ugly real fast. Custody battles ain't pretty. Oh, and sometimes the child is a dog. In this frustrating Reddit thread, we find ourselves rooting for the original poster to get her toxic ex-husband out of her life and dip out while she can! 

She and her ex-husband shared a doggo together for many happy years, but unfortunately, when their doggo passed away OP felt that they rushed to adopt another dog and this stress held her back from bonding with their new doggo in a meaningful way. Fast forward to today, OP's ex-husband announced that he had been having an affair, and boom…divorce. But this delusional man really expects his ex-wife to now drop everything to offer him free pet sitting services. Interesting how that works out huh?

    Font - I visited the dog once in awhile. However, it was painful to keep running into my ex-husband. I told him he can have her. Now, a year later he continuously contacts be to babysit her while he is out of town. I oblige because I feel bad for abandoning the dog. But he always lets me know last minute, like the day prior.

Regardless of intention, it's not on you to watch the dog and totally understandable if it's too much. You made the commitment before realizing the situation. He made the decision while doing what he was doing.
